   All of our garments are hand knitted from 100% pure Alpaca fleece making them ideal for baby because it is:

  • Hypo-allergenic: it contains no grease, oil or lanolin and has not been treated with any harsh chemicals, bleaches or dyes so is one of the most pure and natural fibres available.
  • Lightweight yet warm: infact 30% warmer than merino wool but, due to its hollow shaft, it is incredibly light and an excellent solar insulator; protecting Baby from overheating in the sun.
  • Luxurious feel: with a slight 'halo' similar to Mohair, it has a rich, silky feel and sheen but is stronger than wool.
  • No 'Prickling': Alpaca hairs are much finer and smoother than wool.
  • Exceptionally durable: Alpaca fleece contains a resin which means that the garments have a built in resistance to staining, wrinkling, bobbling and water.
